This is a big money maker for them every year and Disney is all about money. They sponsor special events/parties at both Hollywood Studios park and at a night club (Rix Cafe) in their Coronado Springs resort. Sea World is also upfront about their partnership with the Gay Days organization. We have been there during Gay Days and it borders on obscene, and anyone who tells you it doesn't is probably one of the participants. You see grown men walking around wearing little girl fairy wings on their backs, multitudes of inappropriate clothing and clothing with sexually explicit sayings or innuendos printed on them. It's a bad scene and we always felt sorry for people vacationing there with their children and had no idea this garbage was going on. They are all there for one reason and one reason only: to find other Gays to hook up with and have sex. It's totally disgusting. All they do is scope each other out even if they are with their "partners". It's like a giant meat market. Just check out the Gay Days website and look at the photo galleries. I don't see how a 50-something year old guy with a hairy back wearing fairy wings and ultra short cut-off jeans is doing anything to further the stereotype of gays or make them more tolerable to the rest of us who aren't genetically defective. Walt would be turning over in his grave if he could see what his legacy/dream of building an all American playground for families to visit has degraded into. It's really sad.
