(for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds), casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10: 4 & 5
Tonight we are going to see “Fantasmic!”. This exciting story shows what happens when Mickey Mouse lets his imagination run away with him. Some of the things that he imagines will scare him silly but the villains and monsters he sees are not real. They are just made up stories.
Sometimes we let our imaginations get the best of us too. Some small children are afraid of the dark because they imagine monsters or something scary that they cannot see. Older kids sometimes imagine that people think their clothes or hair is weird. Moms and Dads let there imaginations get the best of them too sometimes. We worry that some of the silliest, most unlikely things might happen to the children we love so much. When we are controlled by our imaginations, we are not able to walk in the peace of God or the truth of His word.
Bible says that we can take hold of our imagination and shine the truth of God’s word on our worries. John 8:32 says:
You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
When you watch “Fantasmic” tonight, decide whether you want to be controlled by your imagine or to walk in the freedom that comes from God’s truth.
Prayer: Dear Lord, teach us to walk in your truth. We want to walk by faith and not by sight. Please use Fantasmic! to remind us that we do not have to be controlled by our fears because you are in control of everything that happens. Amen

I kept getting asked about whether Fantasmic! was appropriate or too scary for small children so I finally put together that information, including a You Tube video of the Fantasmic! show. This should provide all the information parents need to decide whether or not they want to take their children to this show. You can check it out at
